Live Music

Plymouth Armed Forces Day is the perfect opportunity to enjoy some fantastic live music. Throughout the day there's a variety of music including the much-loved Military Wives Choir, Rock Choir and City of Plymouth Pipe Band. Plus a selection of city ensembles by talented young local musicians from Plymouth Youth Music Service. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the 1940s with Company B - performing an energetic show full of swing and swagger!

 

The live music continues with a FREE evening concert on Plymouth Hoe, sponsored by C&G Catering, which will close Armed Forces Day. Find your dancing shoes and be entertained by this awesome line-up of brilliant bands performing big hits to dance and sing along to.

Evening Concert Programme

Playing a selection of crazy mashups, upbeat swing, punchy ska and even the odd stomping country tune. The fabulous bunch of musicians comprises of harmonic vocals, lightning fiddle, growling trumpet, dirty sax and an awesome rhythm section, to get you up on your feet and dancing to the likes of: Billie Eilish, Dropkick Murphys, Caro Emerald, Dua Lipa, Madness, DNCE, The Charlie Daniels Band, and a little bit of Britney!

Boasting a strong 7-piece line-up, Jessica and the Rabbits are a lively, fun and energetic function band that hail from the South-West. Playing songs by great bands and artists such as Sam & Dave, James Brown, Nancy Sinatra, Dusty Springfield, Wilson Pickett, The Blues Brothers, The Beatles, Madness, The Specials, Wild Cherry and Otis Redding, amongst others.

Rockafella are an energetic four-piece rock covers band from Plymouth playing modern classics, forgotten gems and a few special twists on the unexpected. Their ever evolving set list includes hits from the Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, Biffy Clyro, The White Stripes, Reef and much more.

Relaxed and refined, all at the same time. This hip, no-nonsense six-piece band pack their crowd pleasing setlist with massive, modern tunes and a few old favourites to boot.
