Drone flights prohibited over event site
We are working with the Civil Aviation Authority and Police to stop illegal drone use. Anyone who operates a drone over the Plymouth Armed Forces Day site, Plymouth Hoe, will be reported for prosecution.
Any pilot of a drone wishing to operate MUST obtain specific permission for the flight from the Civil Aviation Authority and Event Organiser. Any unauthorised access of this site, including by drone, will be regarded as trespass.

Road Closures
The following two road closures have been organised during the event:
7am to 7pm – Hoe Road from the Mound at the Citadel to the junction of Madeira Road, with parking
restricted throughout this time
5.30pm to 7pm – Citadel Road from the junction of Lockyer Street, to the junction of Sussex Street, with parking restricted from 7am.
Marine vessel movement
In order to ensure the safety of the public during the air displays there will be restrictions on movements of vessels in Plymouth Sound from 4.05pm to 6.05pm
The display area will be over Plymouth Sound, south of the Hoe. During the displays access to and from the Cattewater, King Point/Millbay and passage across the front of the Hoe will be prohibited.
Between 4.33pm and 4.51pm controlled access for small craft to and from the Cattewater will be permitted, passing close around Mount Batten Pier under the specific direction of the marshalling craft.
QHM Plymouth will issue a Local Notice to Mariners with full details of the restrictions on 27 June in advance of the event.
